MEET MATT
Matt Chin-Yee is an experienced physiotherapist dedicated to providing superior, result-oriented care through a thorough understanding of each patient's needs, goals, and conditions. He received his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University and has advanced certifications in Neurokinetic Therapy (Level 3), Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex Therapy, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, spinal manipulation/manual therapy, vestibular therapy, and concussion management.
Matt serves as a teaching assistant for multiple NKT level courses and mentors physiotherapists and other health practitioners. Trusted with referrals from neurologists, otolaryngologists (ENT), and family physicians, he has extensive experience working alongside these specialists to treat a variety of conditions.
With years of experience treating complex vestibular disorders such as BPPV, Meniere’s disease, vestibular neuritis, and vestibular hypofunction, Matt is also known for effectively addressing difficult musculoskeletal and balance disorders where previous treatments have been unsuccessful. He has helped professional athletes and working office professionals recover from injury and perform at their best.
Matt believes that effective treatment involves symptom mediation, restoration of natural function, and prevention of future injury. His practice incorporates extensive education and experience to provide a comprehensive, systematic approach to treatment, including neuromuscular retraining, Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex Therapy, joint and fascial mobilisation, electro-acupuncture, and specific exercise prescriptions. Matt is keen to work with his patients to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
